All right here is my first entry. Here I'm just starting out and am the lowest of newbies. Thanks to someone giving me
a World Passs I was able to land on Ragnarok. In order to start my search for the legendary Xylia, Phoe, and Zaiel. I started
out in the town of Windurst, a huge forest of a city. My first job is White Mage, the masters of healing, with awful
attack and defense.
Here it is the devil rabbit. The Rarab are the some of the evilest creatures in FFXI. I don't think Iwas killed by one
of these, but I was by it's stronger counter parts, we will get to that in some other entry.
In the beginning I had to rest a lot to restore my health points (HP) and most importantly my Magic Points (MP).
I almost feel sorry for these cute little guys, until one poisoned me causing me to die. I had to go back to my home
point which was back in Windurst because there was no one to Raise me. It's so awful when you die because you lose 10% of
the experience points (EXP) you earned, so that means it takes longer to get to the next level :P. Also I know the club
I have looks pretty cool and pointy, but it did no damage at all :(
This is my Cure spell it recovers my lost HP. This spell has saved my behind and the behinds of others countless times.
Yes, after killing the bee I was able to gain a level! Is there any greater feeling than when a level up sign flashes
and the music plays?
Here I am sitting in Windurst waiting for dawn. Sometimes powerful ghosts come out at night, which can easily kill me.
Also I just leveled up and I don't want to take the chance. You can sometimes level down (which happened later) if you die
because you lose those 10% EXP. At least it only takes like a few battles to get your level back.
Now that I gained a level I was able to use a new spell that I bought, Dia. It lowers the opponents defense (DEF) and
deals some damage. It was really helpful because it made my attacks deal more damage.
Here I am at my Mog House. Here I can store items and change my job when I want too. Also as people refer to the little
Moogle, he is my "Mog-Slave". He does all these things for me : )
This cute little demon killed me : ( I guess when you check an enemies strength "Even Match" means your going to
die. He cast poison on me and I was finished.
I'm starting a collection of Artifact Armor pictures. AF is high level armor for certain jobs. Here is the Red Mage AF.
Isn't Windurst a pretty town? It almost makes me want to write a Haiku.
Mwahahahahaha! Now that I have gotten a new weapon this Crawler is no match for me! My powerful Hammer. Also having the
WHM spell Poisona which gets rid of Poison is very helpful. Also using TP points I can unleash a powerful attack with the
weapon. Also around this time I was running around and who should I find, none other than Zaiel! I was so excited, so excited
in fact that I forgot to take a picture :-( . Oh well I taked to him and later got a message from him asking if I would like
to be on his friend list! I quickly accepted.
AF Picture #2! Here is a male Hume in Dark Knight AF armor. I love the Scythe it's so cool. I wish my WHM could
use scythes.
Here I am at the Auction House (AH). I just bought a new spell scroll while putting my items up for sale. It's a lot
better than buying and selling with NPC, their prices are awful. I just learned a new spell the very helpful Protect.
AF Armor Picture #3 (I'm on a role!). This is the WHM AF, *sigh* someday... someday it will be mine. Here the WHM is
crafting. It's combing crystals and items to make something better.
Here I am at East Sarutabaruta. These people in front of me are high level players who are out helping the newbies like
me. They don't want people to die because we lose Conquest Points. All three nations in the game compete to get the most (
you get them by killing monsters). The top nation gets better prices and stuff like that. BTW, the green dot by their names
tells their Linkshell, it's like a clan. The pink by my name is my Linkshell they were handing out linkpearls to all the newbies
so I grabbed one. It's called the Gullwings.
This is a Yagudo. These are mean Beatmen, they hate the Mithras and TaruTaru. They are pretty strong and will attack
you if they see you. I've been killed a few times by these mean bird creatures. Oh well, I beat this one : )
Off in the distance is a Goblin. They are pretty powerful too and will attack you if you aren't careful. God, I hope
he doesn't see me...
Now I'm level 7 and I was able to buy lots of new stuff. I traded in my Hammer for a staff, and got some new clothes.
Also at the AH I was able to buy some furniture for my Mog House and you can see in the background. I got a Rusty Bucket and
a small Book Holder, well my Mog House doesn't look as much like a cell anymore. Of course the sad part of the whole things
was I didn't have enough money left to buy pants : /
