Each race has slightly different stats, but since they are really not that different you should just choose whatever
race you want to play as. When you start the game you get to choose your race, face, hair, size, and gender. **You can't choose
which gender you want for Galka they are only male, or Mithra they are only female**
Then you will be asked to choose a hometown. Each race has their own hometown, if you choose the hometown of your race
you will receive a special ring.
Hume
Here is your traditional human class. Everything is pretty even in this race. Their hometown is Bastok, the industrial
capital of Vana'diel
Elvaan
Here is your Elf race. Not only are they proud warriors but can be very tall. Their hometown is San d'Oria, the ancient
castle city, located in deep forests.
Tarutaru
The small and cute creatures of FFXI. Their hometown is the nature based city of Windurst.
Galka
The huge hulking race that lives in Vana'diel. All Galka are male. Their hometown is Bastok.
Mithra
The cat warriors that live in Vana'diel. If you choose a Mithra you can only be female, the only male Mithra are NPC
(Non-Playable-Characters) because the males of the species are too delicate to go fighting so they are only used to reproduce
the species if you get my drift. Their hometown is Windurst.
